Meowy Christmas

I found this card on Pinterest, and thought it was so cute!  The fact that I already have the stamp and die set meant I had to CASE it.

Here is my version:

I tried to get a shot where you could see the Wink of Stella on the moon... oh well.  It's very pretty irl.

So I left off the embossing paste stars, and added the scarf.  What do you think of my version?

Supplies used:

The Paper Studio heavy weight white card stock
SSS Christmas Cats stamp and die set
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Wink of Stella pen
Inkadinkadoo masking paper
Distress inks: Broken China, Seedless Preserves, and Chipped Sapphire
Copic markers

Birthday card re-do

So I was looking at yesterday's card and I really felt like it was missing something.  These critters looked like they were ready to party, but the background was so plain!  So, I sent them to a party!  Here's what I've added to the card:

Much better, don't you think?  Now they look like they are really celebrating!

Supplies added:

Sugar Pea Designs Bring on the Cake stamp set
Memento inks: Rosebud, Dandelion
Versamagic ink: Sea Breeze

A birthday card

We're celebrating my niece's birthday on Sunday.  This is the card I made for her, which I largely CASE'd from this card:

I tried to do the ink blended background and ended up with a mess, so I started over and left that off.  On this card I had a significant amount of color bleeding from the balloon- thank goodness for the colorless blender cleaning up oopsies like that!

It's a very simple card, which I like.  I think she'll be happiest with the gift card inside it though lol.

Supplies used:

Simon Says Stamp Birthday Farm Animals stamp and die set
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Copic Markers
Uniball Signo white pen
The Paper Studio heavy weight white card stock
Hero Arts Ocean pre folded card
Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles die

Apparently it's Christmas in August

I have another Christmas card I made this morning.  Here it is:

I was playing with my Stampendous stamps that I got from Scrapbooking Made Simple's Shop That Did Not Hop sale last year.  I got them in July, thinking I'd have them in time to make some Christmas cards lol that did not happen.  I got them and my Sizzix Big Shot Plus in January!  The had fantastic sale prices, but as they will tell you on the website, their shipping times for such a big sale were drastically increased.  But hey, Christmas comes every year, right?  So now it's time to play with my stamps.

I was a little surprised by the size of the stamps- quite large- and while you could cover a card front with one stamp, I wanted to have a greeting on the front, too, so this card is a 5 x 6.5".  The red mat is actually A2 size.

Anyhoo... a little coloring with Copics, a little die cutting, and voila!  A Christmas card is done.

Supplies used:

Christmas patterned paper from my stash, I'm sure it's several years old by now
Stampendous Create a Poinsettia stamps and dies
Recollections red card stock
The Paper Studio heavy weight white card stock
Copic markers

Simple Christmas card

Playing with Christmas toys again :)

This is such an easy card, I am sure it'll be on my list of reproducibles for this year!

Here it is:

Again the focus is on texture, which I love.  I will say I am starting to get a little concerned about my Cuttlebug embossing folders- they don't emboss a full 4.25 x 5.5" card.  I did get this one centered pretty well, though, so I guess all is good.  I do love that I am still using an embossing folder I purchased many years ago!

Supplies used:

The Paper Studio white heavy weight card stock
Silver glimmer paper
Memory box die
Cuttlebug embossing folder

First Christmas cards of the year

I got this Memory Box/Poppy stamps die as kind of an afterthought with my last SSS order.  I got it because it was less than 10$ and I thought I could do some nice things with it.  So this is what I made:

I've also used a pine trees border die that for the life of me I don't know who made.  I got it at the stamp convention a year or so ago.  I was going ot leave the background plain, but I thought that was a little too plain, so I added a Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirl embossing folder background.  I thought the swirls kind of felt like snow.  So what do you think of the no-color, lots-of-texture look?  I kind of like it.  And I think it's definitely mass reproducible, so it may be on my list of Christmas cards to make this year.

Here's another version:

The snowflake border die is from the same manufacturer as the pine tree border die above.  This time I also used my MFT Snowfall BG stamp and some silver glimmer paper.  I like this version, too.  I think I'd like it better if the stamped background were actual snowflakes rather than snow dots.

Which do you think I should do?

Supplies used:

The Paper Studio white heavy weight card stock
Silver glimmer card stock
Poppy Stamps Peace on Earth channel die
unknown Pine Tree/ Snowflake border dies
Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirl embossing folder
MFT Snowfall BG stamp
Delicata silver ink

Coffee!

Mmm so I got a new computer and had to figure out how to get my pictures onto my blogger again.  Now that that's figured out, here's my first card:

I picked up this Tim Holtz/ Sizzix set at Michael's a few weekends ago.  It was one of the few things I didn't already have lol.  It came with an embossing folder, stamps, and dies.

I colored it a little wonky- didn't pay attention to what I was doing- and got the shadows on the label different than the shadows on the cup :)  But I think it still works.

Supplies used:

Tim Holtz/ Sizzix Coffee Time stamp/die/embossing folder set
Memento black ink
Copic markers
White cardstock
Cream cardstock
Bronze shimmer cardstock
Spellbinders Matting Basics A set
SSS Stitched rectangles die
