Papertrey Ink Garden Gild

For once, I'm entering my card for people to look at lolol.

The challenge was to color a coverplate die, here's my card:

Supplies used:
Papertrey Ink Scripted die
Papertrey Ink Garden Gild coverplate die
Paper Studio white and pink card stock
Distress Inks (Shabby Shutters and Abandoned Coral)

The coverplate makes for such a fast, easy, beautiful card.  Inking it up was a bit of a challenge, but using the masking tape to hold it down helped tremendously.

Thanks for looking!

SU Painted Petals

I ordered this stamp set a few months ago and am just now starting to play with it.  I like how the leaf and flower stamps line up, and that the stamps themselves give the image shading.  Pretty cool!

So here's my card:

It's very simple, but I think it's pretty.

Supplies used:

Stampin Up! Painted Petals stamp set
Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles die set
Paper Studio cardstock
Memento Teal Zeal and Pear Tart inks

and that's it!

Thanks for looking.

Two more birthday cards

I am loving the Garden Gild Make It Market Mini Kit from Papertrey Ink.  It comes with panels that already have water colored and foiled effects on them and they are soooo pretty!

Here's a couple of birthday cards I made using it:

Both cards use the cover plate die, DCWV card stock, and Memento black ink.  The Doodlebug Designs gold sprinkles came in the kit! The first card also uses the Simon Says Stamp stitched circle die and Spellbinders scalloped circle, as well as a Paper Studio paper pad "Country Road".

I love the colors and how easily these cards came together!

Thanks for looking, and have a great night!

Getting in the Christmas spirit

Yes, I know it's June.  I just wanted to make a Christmas card!  When I bought the WPlus9 set, I was inspired by this post over at their blog.  So, this is my take on it:

Can you see the Glossy Accents on the bulbs?  I know their card was more "artsy" because of the overlapping stamps, but my stampin' OCD just wouldn't allow it.  I like my version anyway.

Supplies used:

Bazill Marshmallow cardstock
WPlus9 Festive Greetings stamp set
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Spectrum Noir markers
Ranger Glossy Accents

And that's it!

Hippo Birdie to You!

I had a great time this afternoon putting this card together.  Here was my inspiration, found on Pinterest.  This card goes to my dear stepmom, whose birthday is in a couple weeks!

Let's see, there's quite the supply list for this one!

Supplies:
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Spectrum Noir markers
Signo Uniball white pen
Bazill Marshmallow cardstock
Boots and Barkley patterned paper
Lawn Fawn Year Four stamps and matching dies

The background inlaid die is from a golf set.  I haven't a clue who made it, let me know if you know! The blue and green cardstocks are from an Archiver's stack.  I sure miss Archiver's, it was the only scrapbook/ stamp store for many miles around and I had to drive an hour to get to it.  Now they're only online.  Sad face.  I  miss having a store I can wander around in.  Michael's and Hobby Lobby just don't get it for me when what I want is to find the "perfect" stamp or die for a card.

Anyway, thanks for looking!

My first Tilda stamp

Well I wanted to make a going-away card for a co-worker who is, well, going away.  I've had this Tilda stamp for a little while, and this is the first time using it.  I usually shy away from stamps that require a lot of coloring, but wanted to give it a try.  I used my Spectrum Noir pencils because I just wasn't getting the effects I wanted with the markers.  Not because there's anything wrong with the markers, I've just gotten out of the habit of using them!  I definitely need more practice.

So here's the card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Gummy Bear
White card: Copic Mini Pack Paper for Markers
Stamps: Magnolia "Tilda with Flowerpot", Papertrey Ink "Garden Gild"
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Spectrum Noir colored pencils

Thanks for looking!

I'm baaaack

Hey there, I'm back.  I had all my crafty stuff packed up, thinking that I would be moving soon but apparently God hasn't found the right buyer for my house yet.  So I unpacked a little.  I couldn't go without my creative release!

Plus I ordered from Papertrey Ink for the first time, and this is the card I came up with:

I used their Big and Bold Wishes stamp set, and the Garden Gild cover plate.  Ink is Colorbox chalk ink (brown, I don't know specifically which color though).  I glued the cover diecut down with a Martha Stewart ballpoint glue pen.  The cardstock is from an 8x8 DCWV brights pad, and the patterned paper is the Parisian Dreams paper collection that came free with an issue of Quick Cards.

One stamp set, one die, one ink.  A fairly simple card, but look at all the lovely detail in the diecut!

I made my dad a Father's day card, too, with an Avery Elle stamp set that I had to have (it has bottles of beer lol). BUT dummy me forgot to take a picture of it before mailing it!  Oh well, I'm sure there'll be more opportunity to use the set - his birthday is in November.

Have a great night, and thanks for looking!
