CASEing Myself

So I liked the second card in this post so much, I made another for  a friend who's birthday is at the end of this month.  I girlied it up a little bit with some pink card stock and ink, otherwise, the card is essentially the same.  Here is this week's version:

Love that goat - all the characters in that stamp set are cute and happy.  I find myself going back to this set time after time.

Anyhoo.  Supplies used:

SSS Birthday Farm Animals stamp and die set
SSS Stitched Rectangles die
SU! Gorgeous Grunge stamp set
Whisper White card stock
SU! Blushing Bride ink and card stock
Copic markers
Memento Tuxedo black ink

Thanks for looking, and Merry Christmas to you if I don't post again before then!

Foxy hello

I am a little glad to be done making Christmas cards, but fortunately there's still lots of cooler weather so I can still use my knit patterned embossing folder!  I was shooting for a little more masculine card, do you think I hit the mark?

Here's my card:

This card is mostly Stampin' Up, with a couple more products from my stash.

Supplies used:

"Hello" die
Embossalicious embossing folder

A Golden Hello

I worked on this card, then left it on my desk several days, then worked, then left it, then worked on it...  I found it kind of difficult to finish it up!  Coloring it in was the first step- once I decided on the area of the DSP that I wanted to use and then I could choose some Copic markers that would coordinate with the Rich Razzleberry card stock base.  I only colored in one flower, because that was what I really wanted to highlight, plus the bee.  Then I got stuck.  Wink of Stella was added to the bee's wings and the center of the flower (I know you can't see it in the pic, but it's there) but it still seemed to be missing something.  I wanted a little bling, but sequins didn't do it for me.  I settled on some gold glitter paper to border the edge.  Then I couldn't figure out how to do a sentiment- the paper was so busy that the "hello" got lost.  A little scrap of vellum fixed that right up.  Still not totally sure I'm done with it, but this is it for now:

Still I feel like it's missing a little something-something.  What do you think?

Avant Garden Sneak Peek

Stampin' Up! has so many great sets coming up in the new Sale-a-Bration catalog!  I couldn't resist the Avant Garden set.  My card is very much like the one you'll see in the catalog once is comes out.  I chose a different color way, because I also loved the Falling in Love DSP pack and got that along with some Blushing Bride CS to go with it.  Here's my card:

I really love the soft colors- it makes for a very feminine card.  The DSP has  a very subtle design, like it already has vellum over it.

The links for SAB and Occasions catalog items won't work for you yet (I don't have a link for the Avant Garden set at all yet)- you'll have to wait for January 4!  Time to get that wish list ready!

Dragonfly Dreams Sneak Peek

I just love the combination of blues and greens.  This card uses an old stamp set and a brand new one- yes, it's ok to use your old stamp sets!  Here's my card:

Very simple layout, and all it takes is a few stamps and some inks.  This could easily be a one layer card if you chose.

You won't be able to purchase the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set until January 4- put it on your wish list!

Lift Me Up Bundle Sneak Peek

OK, so I'm still at my craft desk :)

Here's my second card of the day:

It's really simple, I keep thinking I want to add something to it but I'm afraid I'll girly it up too much and then I can't send it to my friend!  I really wanted to use the DSP, but I felt like it was too busy so I went with a plain card stock layer.  What do you think?

New Stampin Up Sneak Peek!

OK, one of the things I like about being a SU! demonstrator is that we can preorder from the upcoming catalogs!  And since I've just finished all my Christmas cards, it is time to begin replenishing my stash of non-Christmas cards, and the Sale-a-bration and new Occasions catalogs are available now for preorder!

In other words, I just received my early Christmas present to myself lol.  Here's my first card, heavily CASE'd from this one:

I love the Night of Navy paper, and that it will coordinate perfectly with the card stock I ordered last go 'round for the Detailed Floral suite!  Didn't use it this time, though, just the DSP.  I was thinking of sending this one to a male friend who is just starting a journey with medical issues- do you think the bling made it too girly?  Otherwise, I think he'd like it a lot.

Ah well,  if I don't send it to him I know some other folks who would like it, too.  Anyhoo.

The links below for the Lift Me Up set won't work until January 4, when Sale-a-bration starts.  Until then, they will take you to my store in general.  All the other links will work just fine.  The Carried Away DSP isn't listed because you won't be able to buy it at all- it's FREE with purchase! Happy shopping!
