More CASEing

OK, so my mojo is still  MIA.  That's okay, there's still lots of stuff to CASE.  Today, it was Wanda Guess and Lisa Addesa, both of their cards are on the inspiration sheet for the SSS March 2016 card kit.  Good news is, I've got some nice spring/Easter cards even with a missing mojo.

Here are my cards:

I did change out a sentiment on the first card, the color of the bunny on the second card.  And I added clear Wink of Stella on all the bunnies.  Wanda's card used glitter, but I didn't feel up to dealing with glue and glitter today, so I subbed the Wink and liked it so much I added it to the other card too.  I wish you could see the shine in the pics, but oh well.

I think I'll go back to crocheting my afghan for a little while now.  Have a great day, and thanks for looking!

Simon Says Stamp March 2016 card kit and shameless CASEing

So, when I find myself wanting to make a card but have NO idea what to do at all, I CASE someone else's work.  You do too?  Great!  I got my Distress Ink minis (more about that later) and card kit in the mail yesterday, and couldn't wait to play with it, but my mojo was missing in action.  Gone.  Poof.  Fortunately, the card kits come with great inspiration sheets!

Both my cards were completely and shamelessly totally CASEd from Laura Bassen and Suzy Plantamura's examples.  Here they are:

So, I was able to make two very cute cards with absolutely no mojo of my own.

The second card was also my very first attempt at watercoloring with Distress Inks!  I have to say, it worked out pretty well, especially since I only had a large-ish brush and had a hard time getting in all those cute lil details.

Speaking of Distress Inks.  You know I just moved into my new home, right?  So, I was unpacking my desk supplies- I keep all my lil inks in a drawer in my desk, and the big inks in a container of their own- and all my lil cube inks were jumbled together, tops off, ink leaking onto other tops' labels and generally making a big ole mess.  I played with them for a couple of days before I got tired of guessing which top went on which ink and getting disappointed with all the inks that had been so cross-contaminated that I just said "to heck with it" and dumped them in the trash.  I was Distress Inkless for a couple weeks while I waited for my new ones to get here from SSS.  So- if you're going to move, consider taping the tops to the bottoms!  Just saying.

Any hoo.  I had fun and even got a little inky.  Who knows, maybe I'll even find my mojo in here again while unpacking.

First card in new house!

Wow, it's been a while, huh.  Since my last post, I've moved from Kentucky to Virginia!  I have finally gotten all moved in and unpacked, but there is some stuff that needs a little rearranging.  Craft stuff.  Some things need rearranging right on out of here.  Like my Grand Calibur and Cuttlebug. I got myself a Big Shot Plus from Scrapbooking Made Simple during their super duper sale last year, so I don't need the Cuttlebug or Grand Calibur.  Know anyone who can give them a good home?

So this is my card- way too simple, but as I said, there's some stuff that needs rearranging so I can find it all.  A Thank You for my mom and dad, they've been so much help during the last few months.  Pink is her favorite color, so that's what I went with:

Like I said, simple.  I was just a little stumped as to how to embellish it, since it's been so long since I got to play with my crafty toys!

And the Big Shot Plus cut like butta!  Oh, I am so glad I got it.  I can't wait to play with it some more, to see how it does with intricate die cuts and the like.

Anyhoo.
